Founded by brothers Eric and Lyle Railsback, the project pays homage to the great natural and traditional producers of Provence and the Rhône while using California fruit. This cuvée has become a fan favorite because it embodies the Railsback philosophy: wines that are delicious, transparent, and utterly drinkable, crafted with respect for classic Old-World methods.

Vineyard & Winemaking: The 2022 vintage is a blend of Carignan, Grenache, and Counoise, all fermented whole-cluster to preserve lift, spice, and aromatic complexity. Per Lyle Railsback, the Carignan was vinified carbonically, giving the wine its bright, crunchy, high-tone fruit profile. After fermentation, all lots were blended together, maintaining a minimalist, hands-off approach that emphasizes freshness and purity over extraction. The result is a wine shaped as much by old-school French sensibilities as by the sunlit vineyards of California.

Tasting Notes: The 2022 Comme Vous Voulez bursts from the glass with vibrant red berries, cranberry, and pomegranate, lifted by savory whole-cluster aromatics—think peppercorn, dried herbs, and rose stem. On the palate, the carbonic Carignan contributes juicy immediacy and a soft, playful texture, while Grenache adds warmth and brightness, and Counoise brings spice and snap. Light-bodied, silky, and irresistibly gulpable, the wine finishes with crunchy red fruit, a whisper of garrigue, and dancing acidity.
