Tasting notes:  This dry sparkling rosé was made with organically-grown Willamette Valley Pinot noir grapes. With rosé wine skyrocketing in popularity over the last several years, it’s no surprise that their prices have risen as well. Finding one this well-priced, using pesticide-free Pinot noir (the most expensive fruit), grown in the priciest wine region in Oregon… WITH bubbles, was like stumbling upon a unicorn! Strawberries, rhubarb, and bing cherries are balanced by good acidity, soft bubbles, and a strawberry candy finish.

Producer:  Soter Vineyards, founded by Tony & Michelle Soter in 1997, is a sustainable grower and producer of ultra-premium Oregon Pinot Noir and sparkling wines located in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Tony and Michelle are passionate winegrowers who have long been committed to sustainable farming. Tony first began organic grape growing back in 1985 and continues to be a leader in environmentally conscious land use.  Michelle has shaped the overall philosophy and mindful management of Soter properties since the purchase of their first Oregon vineyard in 1997 and, most recently, has overseen the implementation of Biodyanic principles for the entirety of Mineral Springs Ranch. Their actions and advocacy in the Oregon wine industry’s environmental pursuits are shown in thier steadfast work with verifiable carbon accounting, labeling of certified sustainable Oregon wines and through their own actions, personal farming and business decisions.

Vineyard and Winemaking:  This wine is made with fruit that comes exclusively from certified sustainable vineyards. Varietal composition is 100% Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, fermented whole-cluster pressed. This wine is carbonated in the Charmat method (like Prosecco) and is meant to be fun and lively, while coming in at a much more affordable price point than traditional method sparklers.
